The entrance to the Octagonal Walled Garden, which is a lovely place to go to, especially after hours- after 5.30 pm or before 9am, there is generally no one about, and the garden is full of birds chattering, singing and the heady scents of various flowers.

The borders are over flowing with plants! Here, you can see one of the old Yews- this one is fastigate, just to the left. You can see the Mecanopsis ( Himalayan Blue Poppies) in the bottom of the photo. They have the most amazing colour of blue.

Behind the Walled Garden lies the Tennis Court which is surrounded by our wee Woodland Walk. In Spring this is carpeted by bluebells. There is a seat at the top, which is a great place to sit and enjoy the peace, with views over to Loch Laich, and beyond.
